Reiki
By definition the meaning of reiki is universal life energy. It is the life force that permeates the universe. This energy is what makes up the trees and rocks, plants and animals and people.
Reiki is a natural non-invasive form of hands on healing applied by channeling universal energy to ones self or another through intention. It is generally for purposes of balancing and healing the energy centers (chakras) within our bodies. We are not made of flesh and blood alone. We have many of these energy centers located throughout our bodies. Each chakra vibrate at its own rate. When these centers become blocked or unbalanced they can result in illness or stress. When reiki is applied it help to harmonize the body, mind and spirit.
Many cultures through out time have used healing methods which were based on the transfer of this energy. The application or techniques may have differed but universal energy was the core of the practice or belief.
Reiki is not meant to replace a medical doctor. But when used with a treatment program it can help to enhance your healing abilities.
